Sunday School
After children's time in the church service children in 4th through 9th grade proceed to their Sunday School class. At the end of their class time, they rejoin the congregation in the sanctuary for the Friendship Circle, Benediction, and then snacks in the Friendship Hall. They meet regularly from September thru May. Classes started September 11, 2011.
Enthusiasm runs high in this class and they helped spruce up the UMC camp at Flathead Lake and some attended Middler camp this summer. A recent project was an original play--"The Story of Baby Jesus as Seen on TV" and it was a rousing success. The children also made cookies and sold them at Christmas to earn money for a playground on the church grounds. They decorated box lunches for an auction this spring. This Easter they crafted items to be sold as basket stuffers. Again, the profits went towards the playground. The first item in the playground has been purchased and is ready for use. It is a merry-go-round.
There's always fun and good lessons to be had in Sunday School. Won't you join us?
The older youth are very active in the church and participated in an indoor tailgate party last year. They came up with the following cheer for the cheerleading contest and won hands down!
