Children
Children begin to develop a spiritual foundation that will carry them throughout their lives. Through activities such as children's time (children's sermon), Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, learning about Missions, singing, memorizing bible verses, participating in plays and intergenerational activities with adult mentors, we help introduce them to Jesus.
After children's time during the church service, children aged 2 through 3rd grade go to their Sunday School class during the months of September thru May. Classes started September 11, 2011.
Contact Everlyn Jeannotte or Gail Sinclair if you have a child in third grade who has not received a bible from MVUMC.
At the end of their class time, they rejoin the congregation in the sanctuary for the Friendship Circle, Benediction, and snacks in the Friendship Hall.
Even small children can participate in Missions and this Sunday School class sold baked goods in the Friendship Hall after church to earn money to support folks in other countries through the Heifer Project. For more information you can check out this web site.
