Serving God. Following Jesus. Loving People.
MissionsGlobal Ministries' goals are (1) Make Disciples of Jesus Christ; (2) Strengthen, Develop and Renew Christian Congregations and Communities; (3) Alleviate Human Suffering ; (4) Seek Justice, Freedom and Peace.
The work of local congregations and other United Methodist institutions in communities is a significant mission connection.
The programs of Global Ministries are involved in emergency response globally, working on long-term recovery as well as immediate relief.
Mobilization of resources through United Methodist connections brings us closer to our goal of eradicating the root causes of hunger and poverty.
Our local missions team meets monthly to plan our mission projects for our local communities and the wider world. Some of our current projects include:
We recently purchased teddy bears to give to the Montana Highway Patrol in Lake County to give out as comfort toys. We are joining other local churches to provide a weekly free meal in Ronan--The Shepherd's Table--each Tuesday evening from 5-7 at the Ronan Senior Center located near the hospital. We also support a local pastor in Angola and help supply health kits, baby layettes, flood buckets and school kits around the world and in the USA in times of disaster. We are assisting Safe Harbor in domestic violence awareness and collecting items for use in their transitional housing for the homeless project.
